Local roots,
international vision

RAMA Travel is the tour operator of RAMA S.p.A., a historic company from the province of Grosseto with over a century of experience in transportation and regional connectivity.

Our goal is to help discover a New Tuscany, enhancing even the lesser-known areas, without replacing local operators but working side by side to create a virtuous network of collaborations.

RAMA is born

RAMA S.p.A. was founded in 1913 with the goal of establishing a transportation network to serve the province of Grosseto and its inhabitants.

1960

Start of public participation

Local authorities join RAMA as shareholders, and several small local entities come together as well. The network grows with provincial and interprovincial connections, making RAMA the reference point for public transportation in the province of Grosseto.

2010

TAG Maremma emerges

In 2022, TAGMaremma was launched, an Instagram profile created to showcase the region at both national and international levels. With a fresh and authentic approach, it has managed to gather a community of nearly 30,000 followers who love the Maremma region and the province of Grosseto.

Tourism Services

Over time, RAMA also entered the tourism industry, eventually opening a full-fledged travel agency in the 1980s. In parallel, it develops digital expertise which it puts at the service of the Province, local municipalities, and other partners.

1973

Tiemme S.p.A. is born

The subsidiary company Tiemme S.p.A. is established, maintaining a focus on road transportation, while RAMA can concentrate on creating networks that support the needs of the territory and its residents.

2022

RAMA Travel with HMO

Starting in 2025, it begins its incoming tour operator activities with the goal of increasing national and international visitors to the province of Grosseto, focusing on quality tourism that also highlights lesser-known areas.

TIEMME S.p.A.

Tiemme S.p.A., of which RAMA is one of the founding partners, handles transportation with a fleet of 200 vehicles. Its buses travel throughout Tuscany and beyond its borders, into neighboring regions. This widespread presence has given Tiemme in-depth knowledge of Tuscany and its entire territory. Tiemme also provides rental services for both large and small groups.

TAGMaremma

TAGMaremma is the digital voice of the province of Grosseto, launched in 2022 to showcase this still little-known territory. With a community of over 28,000 Instagram followers, TAGMaremma creates original and engaging content that combines communication with a passion for the region, turning online interest into real-life experiences on the ground.
